1. Introduction
These Brand Guidelines describe how the NeitClem name, wordmark, and logo mark may be displayed and referenced in connection with NeitClem Wholesale Insurance and Brokerage, Inc. ("NeitClem," "we," "us," or "our"). They are intended for our internal marketing team, retail agency partners, carrier partners, and any other party referencing our brand in print, digital, or promotional materials.
Consistent presentation of our name and mark protects the recognition we have built as a California-licensed wholesale insurance brokerage and surplus lines broker (License #0E24609) since 1992, and ensures our brand is represented accurately across every touchpoint — our website, marketing flyers, carrier submissions, and partner communications.
2. The Story Behind Our Mark
Our logo pairs the NeitClem wordmark with an illustrated tree: a deep-rooted trunk supporting broad, sheltering branches, with two figures standing beneath it. The imagery reflects how we see our role in the wholesale insurance marketplace — providing a stable, established foundation that retail agents and their clients can rely on, and extending coverage and capacity outward to protect the people and businesses standing beneath it.
This symbolism is deliberate. Insurance, at its core, is about protection and continuity, and our mark is designed to communicate both — an established brokerage with deep roots, and a partner that shelters the agents and insureds who stand with us.
3. Primary Logo Mark
The primary logo mark is the complete lockup: the NeitClem wordmark, the "Wholesale Insurance Brokerage, Inc." tagline, and the tree illustration, stacked vertically as a single unit. This is our most complete brand expression and should be used whenever space and context allow — on printed marketing flyers, the website footer, official documents, and any materials where NeitClem is being introduced for the first time.
The primary mark should always be reproduced from the master artwork file and should never be redrawn, traced, or reconstructed from a screenshot.
4. Wordmark-Only Version
In compact spaces — such as the website's navigation bar — we use a wordmark-only treatment: the word "NeitClem" alone, set in our heading typeface. This version is reserved for situations where the full mark's tagline and tree illustration would be too small to read clearly, such as narrow header bars, favicons, or single-line email signatures.
The wordmark should always read "NeitClem" as a single word with a capital N and capital C — never "Neit Clem," "NeitClem Insurance," or other variations.
5. Color Palette
Our color palette is built around a deep navy paired with a warm gold accent, reflecting the trust and stability of an established brokerage alongside the warmth of a personal, relationship-driven business. The brand brown and sage green found in the tree illustration belong to the logo mark itself and are not intended as general-purpose UI colors.
Navy is our primary brand color, used for headings, navigation, and the majority of our website's UI. Gold is reserved as an accent for calls to action, highlights, and moments that should draw the eye. Brand brown appears only within the logo artwork itself (the wordmark and tree trunk).
6. Typography
Three typefaces support our brand. Playfair Display is a serif used for large display headlines and hero statements, lending a more established, editorial tone to key moments on the page. Montserrat is a geometric sans-serif used for navigation, buttons, section headings, and other structural UI elements. Inter is a highly legible sans-serif used for body copy and everyday reading text.
These typefaces should not be substituted with visually similar alternatives in official materials. If a typeface is unavailable in a given tool or format, a plain system font should be used as a fallback rather than a different branded typeface.
7. Clear Space & Minimum Size
To keep the mark legible and unencumbered, maintain clear space around the logo equal to at least the height of the capital "N" in "NeitClem" on all sides, free of other text, imagery, or graphic elements.
The primary logo mark should not be reproduced smaller than 120 pixels wide (or approximately 1.25 inches in print) so the tagline and the tree illustration's detail remain legible. The wordmark-only version may be used at smaller sizes where the full mark's fine detail would no longer read clearly.
8. Proper Usage
Use the master artwork files provided by NeitClem without alteration. Maintain the mark's proportions, and scale the logo uniformly — never stretch it disproportionately in only one direction. Preserve the clear space described above. Use the primary mark on light or white backgrounds where the brown wordmark and tree illustration remain fully legible. Reference the company using its full legal name, "NeitClem Wholesale Insurance and Brokerage, Inc.," on first mention in formal documents, and "NeitClem" thereafter.
9. Misuse to Avoid
Do not recolor, recreate, or apply filters, gradients, outlines, or drop shadows to the logo mark. Do not rotate, skew, distort, or stretch it. Do not separate the tree illustration from the wordmark within the primary lockup, or rearrange its elements. Do not place the logo over busy photography, patterns, or backgrounds that compromise its legibility or contrast. Do not use the logo to imply an endorsement, partnership, or affiliation that has not been separately and explicitly authorized in writing. Do not use the mark, or any imitation of it, on materials unrelated to NeitClem's business without prior written permission.
10. Requesting Logo Files & Permission to Use
Retail agents, carrier partners, and other approved parties who need a copy of the master logo files, or who wish to use the NeitClem name or mark in co-branded or promotional materials, should submit a request through the contact information below. Requests are typically reviewed within a few business days.
NeitClem reserves the right to decline or revoke permission to use its name or mark at its sole discretion, including in cases of use inconsistent with these guidelines.
